Hoi An was amazing!
We flew into Da Nang and it took all afternoon to get some motorbikes (that didn’t break down after 5 minutes). We checked into our nice little homestay near the center of Hoi An and spend the next 3 days in total serenity, we biked, rode our motorbikes, swam in the sea a few times, took a day-trip to Cham Island by speedboats, had some suits done at a local tailor’s and most importantly ate. Like a lot! Petra’s gonna summarize all the food that is to be had in Hoi An but it’s fair to assume it’s the unofficial capital of food porn is South-East Asia. We were really lucky as the Full Moon festival was just happening when we got there and we loved it so much we decided to stay a day extra :) this all would mean nothing if the people were not super nice. enjoy the photos folks.
So much more happened since then: we flew into Hanoi, took a 2-day cruise along Halong Bay (and got really drunk on board). We are now back in Hanoi. Tomorrow we’ll join locals for some T’ai Chi early in the morning, enjoy the food some more and buy our souvenirs before flying back to KL in the evening. Then we’ll have 3 more days in Malajsia :)
